Need for Speed: Shift is one of the next installments in the long-running racing video game franchise Need for Speed published by Electronic Arts. It was announced in January 2009 as part of a three-game announcement that includes Need for Speed: Nitro and Need for Speed: World Online.[3] Shift is under development by Slightly Mad Studios—who, under their former name Blimey! Games helped develop GT Legends and GTR 2 together with SimBin Studios—with help of Michael Mann (EP at EA Black Box) and Patrick Söderlund (senior VP of EA Games and head of DICE). In the new franchising model for the series adopted by EA, Shift takes its place aiming at hardcore gamers and focusing on simulation racing and realistic drifting rather than the arcade racing of previous titles in the series. It focuses less on street racing and more on simulating the driver experience and is being described as a racing game built by racers for racers.

Diablo III is similar in style to its predecessor, Diablo II. The proprietary engine will incorporate Havok physics and feature destructible environments with an in-game damage effect. The developers are aiming to make the game run on a wide range of systems, and have stated that DirectX 10 will not be required.[5] Diablo III will use a custom 3D game engine[6] in order to present an overhead view to the player, in a somewhat similar way to the isometric view used in previous games in the series; players may zoom in for a tighter shot of their character, though.[5] Enemies will utilize the 3D environment as well, in ways such as crawling up the side of a wall from the depths into the combat area.[3] Every creature model will have around 35 unique death animations.

Resident Evil 5 features similar gameplay to Resident Evil 4, with context-sensitive controls and dynamic cut scenes also making a return.
The player can control Chris Redfield or Sheva Alomar in a similar fashion to Leon S. Kennedy in Resident Evil 4,[12] with the same over-the-shoulder perspective.[13] Once again, the game's environment plays a significant role.[12] The Mercenaries minigame, featured in previous Resident Evil games, is present in Resident Evil 5.[14] At launch, the multiplayer in the minigame was offline only, but a launch day patch gave the game online multiplayer.[15]
The game features new types of enemies called "Majini", meaning evil spirit in Swahili.[16] Furthermore, they are different from the previous ganados.[12] The number of weapon variations has been greatly increased compared to the previous games in the series; there are now several varieties of the handgun, shotgun, submachine gun and rifle to choose from.[17] Unlike inventory systems in previous Resident Evil titles, the player can only equip weapons and items in the midst of gameplay, as opposed to accessing an inventory menu by pausing the game..[citation needed]
The game features some online elements.[18] Resident Evil 5's main story mode can be played with two players, in a co-operative online mode. The feature will allow players to enter or leave anytime during the game. Players will not always stick together, and can be separated at points during the gameplay.[14] An offline co-op mode is also in the game with the same co-op experience offered by the online co-op mode, only with two local players controlling the action in split screen.[19]

The 3rd Birthday (ザ・サード・バースデイ Za Sādo Bāsudei?) is an upcoming video game from Square Enix. The game is being developed for the PlayStation Portable and will mark the third entry in the Parasite Eve series after Parasite Eve 2, which was released in 2000. Very little information about the plot has been released.
The 3rd Birthday is a spin-off of the Parasite Eve series, which is why "Parasite Eve" has been excluded from its title. The title references the third appearance of Aya Brea and the significant changes for the design of the game compared to its predecessors. However, as it has the number "3" in the name and is the third game in the "Parasite Eve" series, fans have been referring to the game as "Parasite Eve 3".
